Mixed Use Projects

We firmly believe at The Garrett Companies that the remedies for the growth and congestion problems of the Greater Metro Washington area, Northern Virginia and most all metropolitan areas experiencing similar issues consist of (a) local mixing of residential and commercial real estate uses, and (b) alternative transportation sources. Much of the past several years have been spent in our effort to seek, identify and acquire quality sites for mixed-use development with on-site, adjacent or alternative transportation sources in close proximity. This alternative transportation source typically consists of commuter rail (Metro or Virginia Rail Express), although one site is located adjacent to the recently-developed Stafford Regional Airport. Our acquisition effort has been focused on the Interstate 95 Corridor through Fredericksburg.
